Vox Femina Los Angeles continues its 15th anniversary season with From Shakespeare to Shamrocks, a spring concert celebration that brings the English and Irish together in song on Saint Patrick’s Day, March 17, 2012 at the Zipper Concert Hall in the Colburn School of Music. In this bi-cultural evening, Vox Femina will unite classic Shakespeare sonnets with authentic Irish music sung in Gaelic. From classical works to folk songs, traditions new and old from England, Scotland and Ireland will be celebrated at the event. The performance starts at 8:00pm. Tickets are $25-30 during presale, $35 at the door. Group rates are also available. Zipper Concert Hall at The Colburn School is located at 200 South Grand Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90012. Bottom Floor is pleased to announce that the celebration of its one year anniversary will feature a rare Los Angeles appearance by legendary Chicago deep house producer and DJ, Boo Williams, on Saturday, January 21, 2012 from 10:00pm to 6:00am at a private venue in downtown Los Angeles. Attendees must RSVP to receive location information. The event also promises a peak-time set by John Tejada, in support of his latest album, Parabolas, released last summer on the revered German label, Kompakt Records. Rounding out the lineup will be LA underground favorite Suli Belarto and Bottom Floor resident DJs Morgan Alexander and Reg Xelle.

In honor of the 35th anniversary of outrageous cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show (RHPS), the Million Dollar Theater in Downtown Los Angeles will host a special screening of the film with guest Barry Bostwick in person and an international shadowcast of performers on Saturday, September 25, 2010. The anniversary screening will start with a full pre-show of games and presentations at 10:00 p.m. with the film screening at 11:00 p.m. Bostwick, who stars as Brad Majors in the film, will officiate the madness. For this special event, the on-stage “all-star” cast, with full costumes and props, will include the best of the best Rocky Horror performers from shadowcasts as far away as Paris, France. This select group of performers includes many featured in the upcoming Twentieth Century Fox Rocky Horror Picture Show: 35th Anniversary Blu-ray Disc. Presented by LA’s own Sins O’ The Flesh, the evening is part of SinsCon, the 35th Anniversary Convention of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, which runs the three-day weekend of September 23 – 25, 2010 in Los Angeles. The event is being produced in partnership with the LA Conservancy.

Cirque Berzerk, a wild, sexy, decadent and demented alternative circus, that isn’t exactly for kids, makes its triumphant return to downtown Los Angeles for an exclusive engagement debuting June 18, 2009, and running through 4th of July weekend (at least). The event of the summer will take place at the Los Angeles State Historic Park 1245 N. Spring St. Los Angeles, CA 90012. All ages are welcome. Tickets will range in price from $25 to $80.
