For over a decade, C:F has established its unique signature blend of presenting vibrant visual art and music in an immersive cultural experience. JNA Gallery at Bergamot Station Art Center is pleased to present Invitation to a Dream, the first Los Angeles solo exhibition of work by California artist and designer, from Monday, May 5 through Wednesday, May 14, 2014. The gallery will showcase a collection of approximately 30 small mixed media works and a dozen freestanding sculptures by LaBeouf. An Artist Reception will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2014 from 7:00pm to 10:00pm. The solo exhibition of LaBeouf’s visionary work is a featured element in JNA’s Mother’s Day offerings, which also include exhibitions of Vintage Americana as well as a group show in adjacent galleries. Arts organization Create:Fixate (C:F) presents Dreams on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Lot 613 in Downtown Los Angeles. Beyond C:F’s signature blend of vibrant artwork and eclectic music produced by local talent, this show captures the mixed-medium spirit – with over 25 visual artists – that patrons have come to expect from these one-night-only events. The excitement begins at 4:00pm with a three-hour gallery preview. Parents are encouraged to bring the whole family during the preview hours and take advantage of the Kids Kreativity Zone. Overflowing with art supplies, the Zone provides a supervised space where youth can dive into their own expression while parents explore the exhibit. While all ages are welcome during the preview, attendees must be at least 21-years old to enter after 7:00pm.

EmazingLights-iHeartRaves, the world’s largest rave retailer, is opening its first Northern California store in Milpitas, kicking off with a grand opening event on Friday, April 5, 2013. The store will feature EmazingLights glove sets, light sticks, poi, orbits, and iHeartRaves dance apparel to inspire creativity at electronic music events, and beyond. The company is also known for championing the dynamic new Gloving dance movement by organizing weekly, monthly and annual Gloving events. For the Milpitas store grand opening event, regular store hours will be extended until 10:00pm; and the festivities will feature a Gloving 101 Workshop (6:00-7:00pm), Gloving teams in attendance from around California, and the first ever Northern California Friday Night Lights Gloving community social event (7:00-10:00pm). U-N-M-A-R-K-E-D and Highways Performance Space present the world premiere of PATTY!, a PoP! Music Religious Revival inspired by the mythic histories of Patty Duke and Patty Hearst, with seven performances running May 18 to 20 and May 23 to 26, 2012. In conjunction with a full album release, the project includes a two-week run of live, 360-degree, outerdisciplinary performances (equal parts dance-pop concert, fashion show and new media installation), created, produced and directed by Patrick Kennelly. PATTY! features 15 female performers and choreography by Marina Magalhães (of Contra-Tiempo) with additional choreography by Jmy James Kidd (of MGM) and Kennelly. Opening music acts for the run include Actually Huizenga, IE, Bai Ling, Kristin “Kevin Blechdom” Erickson and the M.T. Brain, Wet Mango, Maxi Wild, and more.

Bootleg Theater is excited to announce the brand new Ken Roht’s Same-O, A 99¢ Only Electric Ballad – once again bringing together the award-winning creative team of Roht, John Ballinger and Ann Closs-Farley for an outrageous holiday production. Previous 99¢ Only shows have been critically acclaimed as a “bedazzlement of theater action and peanut gallery voyeurism” (LA Times) and “mix of heady surrealism, marvelously inventive choreography, unabashed camp, and delightful whimsy” (Backstage West). Costumes, sets and moving sculptures in this progressive multimedia music event will once again incorporate traditional 99¢ Only Store fare, with the addition of recycled and sustainable materials this year. The interdisciplinary extravaganza, with a cast of 18 diverse performers, runs from December 4 to 19, 2010 on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8:00pm nightly with Sunday matinees only at 3:00pm.
