The Hangout Group and Malo will feature Surely Lorraine at The Silver Lake Sessions on Wednesday night, May 21, 2014, at Malo Cantina Suavecita on Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles. Surely Lorraine front woman Anime Wong will perform her post-punk/new wave music project solo. Opening acts include cellist-singer-songwriter Luke Janela (9:15pm) and Kondo Exurbia (10:00pm) fronted by Tom Pinkava, of post-punk band Superbas and experimental sound project Communication Kills. Doors are at 8:00pm, with free drinks until 10:00pm using the super secret password found on the event’s Facebook page, and Happy Hour prices on food all night in the upstairs bar.
